Birthday hug

A card for a beautiful young lady, my niece Lise Beate on her 21th birthday.
For her this time I have made a tri-shutter-card. Inspiration and template is found on Norma's gorgeous blog

Here I have used two of the new Tilda stamps from the summerstampclub 2015.
I don't know their name yet, but they are really some of the cutes little darlings.
They are colored with copic markers.
I have also got a new (to me) dies from Magnolia doohickeys with filmstrip, that can be seen in the left upper corner in purple.
Dies from Spellbinders, Magnolia doohickey and someone else.
Lovely paper from Pion design.
Flowers from WOC and bling from my stock.

In some countries they use key as a symbol for the 21st birthday, and I have added one here.
Not really sure why that symbol, but a fun embelishment to add anyway.

Before and now

I have seen some other peopels photos of the start of their coloring skills and how far they are now, and I thought it would be fun to track down one of my first coloring projects.

Here is one of my first Magnolia stamps with Tilda that was colored in 2009, and by side the same one I colored yesterday. So fun to see that I have improved a bit.
I would also now say thank you to the wonderful ladies that make tutorials on how to color with copics, that has become my favorite coloring now days. I am learning new things every day and see new ways to make the shadows more real.

Thanks for you visit
Love to see you soon again.

Knitting

After new year I have had a period with a lot of knitting.
I have not been able to knitt for several years, and got so happy when I now can do it again.
It is so relaxing and calming to sit with something in my hands and just see it grow into lovley thins.

The norwegian pattern called "Marius" have been the big hit now, and it runs really quick on my needles.
I added a few cm in the lenght on every sweather, as my experience tells me the pattern is allways a bit short.

First a set for little Ragnar in blue, white and red in size 6 months.
Made in Dale baby ull, merino ull. Needles 2 and 2,5. (baby wool)

So a sweather for Sander size 9 months in the traditional colours navyblue, white and red.
Made in Dale baby ull, merino ull. Needles 2 and 2,5. (baby wool)

My son Vijey got his sweather also in the traditional colours in size large.
He had waited so long to get a new sweather from his mom :) LOL
Made in Smart from Sandnes garn with needles 3 and 3,5. (wool)

For me I made a purple, white and green sweather with round knitting on the top. This was really geniously when I didn't have to use the sewingmachine to prep it together. Loved this way and how the colours came together. Size xxl
Made in Merino extra fine ull from Drops with needles 3 and 3,5. (extra fine merino wool)
A gorgeous wool to knitt with and to use. So soft.

For my son Steven I haven't prept it together yet, but this weekend he will get his all done.
This one in navyblue, white and light blue in size large.
Made in Smart from Sandnes garn with needles 3 and 3,5. (wool)

Now I am making a sweather with the same pattern just in a girly kind for Vijey's girlfriend Melissa.
She wanted hers in white, navyblue and red.
Made with Baby merino ull in needles 3. This one is also a fantastic wool to knitt with. Just love it.

I can see that I have a lot of time spending on subway, buss and train every day, as all of this mostly is made in my traveling time between school, work and home.
Something usefull to use all this hours for :) LOL

Thanks for your visit. Love to see you again :)
Hugs from
Elin
